Sweet Pea Pants

I posted pics of some beautiful wool yarn awhile back. Well, today I finished knitting that yarn into pants for my son: (also serve as a cloth diaper cover and are called longies) I am currently working on a matching hat.

Five

Five is the number of items I sold at the craft fair yesterday. To say that I am disappointed would be a huge understatement. However, from the other crafters I talked to it seems that many of us didn't sell much. That makes me feel a tad bit better. I gave out some business cards, so maybe that will drum up a few sales. My table... (not the best photo, but you get the idea)

Craft Fair Countdown

After preparing for a craft fair for about two months, my sewing area looked like a tornado hit it. I was so happy to get it all cleaned up yesterday. While going through my fabric, I found a bit of fleece perfect for a baby blanket. I turned up the edges and zig zagged around it. My last (I swear!) item for the craft fair. I have made a sign to hang from my table at the craft fair. It's totally homemade, but I think it's kind of cute. I had originally stamped various colored polka dots above and below the words. It looked terrible, so I did some doodles around the dots. It looked worse. I added Stickles (glitter glue) and I finally had to admit that it was beyond repair. This looks much better and I realized it's not that important anyway! Craft fair coutdown... less than 26 hours. Things left to do: Finalize some documents (price list, receipts, etc) Print the documents

2 days

2 days until the craft fair... and I'm done with all of the items to sell!!! I will now be working on finalizing and printing a price list and other documents. So here it is... the last item for the craft fair- Baby bumblebee doll (from a Bit of Whimsy pattern)

4 days

4 days until the craft fair. I started and completed the following items today: 2 lamb dolls ( Bit of Whimsy pattern) Infant bib and burp cloth 2 diapers and wipes holders

5 days

A mere 5 days left until the craft fair. I have been busy with life , so I haven't been sewing as much as I would like. Hopefully the next few days will be uneventful and I can get a few more items made. A few days ago I completed these dolls ( butterben pattern from Bit of Whimsy ) Today I completed this doll ( baby bumblebee pattern also from Bit of Whimsy ) More info on the craft fair: 2nd Annual Falcon Craft Fair and Eastern Plains Chili Cook-Off at the Patriot Learning Center ( 11990 Swingline Road) Saturday, October 24th 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monetary gifts, nonperishable food items, unwrapped toys and winter clothing donations will be accepted at the door. 8 days

Only 8 days left until the craft fair, oh my! Finished on Tuesday - Infant bibs and receiving blankets Finished on Wednesday - crayon roll Finished today - 4 toddler bibs I am WAY behind on my to-do list... I was hoping to have a few dolls cut out and ready to sew by now. I have embroidered faces for two butterbean dolls. They are the quickest and easiest to make so I decided to start with those.

Beautiful view

This is the view I had from my sewing table this morning... so beautiful!

16 days

16 days until the craft fair. I did have everything cut out and ready to sew, that is until I went to our local fabric store to pick up a few supplies. While there, I found some super cute fabrics that I just had to buy. I used those cute fabrics to make these items on Tuesday: 4 diapers and wipes holders. I especially love the deer print. (These fabrics will also be used to make toddler bibs.) And here are the items I finished yesterday: 4 wash cloths and 4 burp rags backed with chenille. I have the following things cut out and waiting to be sewn: 6 toddler bibs 4 receiving blankets 5 infant bibs 3 aprons and matching pot holders 2 crayon rolls Time permitting, I would also like to make atleast one each of: Lamb doll Puppy doll Bumblebee doll Mae doll Butterbean doll (Can you tell thatI love the great patterns from Bit of Whimsy ?) Also, finished these today: 2 toddler bibs Christmas themed apron and potholder

19 days

Only 19 days until the craft fair. Yesterday I finished 4 crumb catcher style toddler bibs ... and today I completed 4 diapers and wipes holders. I still have lots more sewing to do, but feel like I'm making good progress.

22 days

22 days until the craft fair. Today I cut out fabric for more crayon rolls and for 4 baby gift sets (receiving blanket, burp cloth, wash cloth and bib). I made this today for my cousin...or the craft fair if she would prefer a different print. It's a diapers and wipes case. It holds a travel size wipes container, travel size diaper rash cream and 2-4 diapers.
