Quilted Table Decor

I started the top for this awhile ago.  I finally sat down and quilted around the blocks and added the bias tape.  I really like how it turned out.  I made it to put on our coffee table to add a little color to the room.

Quilted Placemat

My newest obsession... quilted placemats!  I saw a beautiful quilted placemat over at Sew, Mama, Sew! and knew I wanted something like that for our home.  Here is my first attempt: I love the overall look and can't wait to make more to use on our dining room table. I have decided against making a tutorial for this.  Instead, here are links to some great tutorials I found online: Quilted Placemats Patchwork Placemats Simple Placemats If you have hours upon hours to kill, go check out all of the amazing quilts participating in the Spring 2010 Blogger's Quilt Festival !  I am not participating (maybe next time!), but am very inspired by all of the lovely quilts.

Reusable snack bags

I've been wanting to make some reusable bags for a long time now, but I just didn't have the time.  Well, I found some time this week. Here's my first attempt - 1 sandwich size bag and 2 snack size bags: Here are 2 sets I made of snack size bags for my cousin's kids: If you're in the market to buy some, I highly recommend Little Bugs Boutique .  I recently purchased some from this work-at-home mom and was very impressed by the quality.  I even did a review here !

Puzzle ball

After making a puzzle ball for part of a baby gift set, I decided to make another for my son.  These are neat little toys that can be made as big or small as you like.  I might try making some with jingle bells in them and with ribbon tags on the outer edges.  These are perfect for using up scrap fabric!  The pattern I used is from the book titled Last-Minute Patchwork + Quilted Gifts .

Baby gift set

Here is a simple baby gift set that I made for my cousin's friend.  It includes a bib, burp cloth and puzzle ball. I hope the baby boy enjoys them!
