I found out about Project Linus a few months ago through a blog I follow. After learning about the organization I decided I'd like to become one of their blanketeers. I was very excited to find out that a chapter would be opening in my town soon (it opened in April)! Since then I have been sewing away and have the following blankets to donate:   San Francisco Window Boxes Baby Quilts     Scrap Color Baby Quilts 36" square baby blankets (cotton front, minky back) Self-binding receiving blankets 45" square receiving blankets (flannel front & back) No-sew fleece blankets (these are so simple - you just need 2 pieces of fleece, a ruler and some scissors!) I enjoyed meeting with my local coordinator for the first time today. Some of these blankets will be donated to help families affected by the Waldo Canyon Fire and the rest will go to a local hospital. Not much time left... just finishing up a few little baby items... A changing pad to coordinate with  the diaper bag I made - Thermal knit blankets with binding- Lovey- A few more embellished burp cloths- Teething doll Baby chalice blanket ( pattern )- Sweet little knit hats (patterns  here  &  here  )- And a little pair of no scratch mittens ( pattern )- If the baby doesn't come soon, I'm sure I'll find another baby project (or two) to pass the time.

A few more completed Christmas projects... Felted slippers (pattern HERE ) - these are quick, fun and easy to make No-sew fleece blanket Drawstring toy bag - This is the perfect fabric for the castle blocks that are inside. I've made 3 of these knit hats (pattern HERE ) I am also working on some very special slippers that I can't wait to share on here after Christmas.

I recently made this for my nephew's birthday: A rag quilt made out of alien flannels & stripes.  Very cute and easy to make!  If you'd like to try your hand at one of these then check out THIS tutorial.

Month of gift making project 4: Birdie rag quilt for an adorable little girl who'll be ONE in a few months ( where has the time gone??? ) Inspiration for this project came from this Wrap Them in Love Rag Quilt Tutorial. ).  After seeing that I knew I just had to try my hand at a making rag quilt!  The other day I found the perfect fabric for this project at Mill Outlet Fabric Shop (my local fabric store).  I LOVE that place! This type of quilt is made by piecing together squares with the seam facing up.  Then you clip the seams so that it looks like fringe.  After washing and drying the quilt, the fringe unravels and frays and gets messy.  So, without further ado... Before washing & drying After washing & drying I LOVE this fabric and am tempted to make one of these for myself!

A few Christmas items down... many to go. Today I finished up this set (crayon roll & child's tote bag) 3 flannel blankets

Only 8 days left until the craft fair, oh my! Finished on Tuesday - Infant bibs and receiving blankets Finished on Wednesday - crayon roll Finished today - 4 toddler bibs I am WAY behind on my to-do list... I was hoping to have a few dolls cut out and ready to sew by now. I have embroidered faces for two butterbean dolls. They are the quickest and easiest to make so I decided to start with those.

I started and finished (woo hoo!) 3 receiving blankets yesterday. They will be for my cousin's baby shower coming up next month.

I made this blanket for my cousin's daughter... due to make her entrance into the world sometime in early May. I hope she enjoys it for many years to come!
